Sensational/ "Golden Ball" is expected to be awarded to Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski can get the "Golden Ball", which was denied him four years ago.

In 2020, the Polish striker was the main contender to win the most important personal trophy for a footballer.

However, due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Golden Ball ceremony was canceled and the award was not given to any players.

But, justice can be decided in the country, this year. According to the latest reports from Spain, it is said that "France Football" is considering giving the trophy to Lewandowski.

In 2020, the 35-year-old striker won everything with the Bayern Munich team, taking the German Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Champions League trophy.

On a personal level, Lewandowski scored a total of 55 season goals, in 47 games played, in what was the best year of his career.

These statistics made the Polish striker the best player for that season and there was no doubt about the Golden Ball. With the ceremony cancelled, Leva's chance of receiving the prestigious award fell through, with the player experiencing one of the biggest disappointments.

However, after four years there is still hope and the chances are great, that Levandovksi will receive the "Golden Ball", denied.
