FIFA is preparing for a historic edition of the Club World Cup, which will take place for the first time in the new 32-team format. The tournament will run for one month, from June 14 to July 14, 2025, and will follow a similar structure to that of the World Cup for national teams. This format includes eight groups of four teams and a 16-team knockout stage.

12 European teams will participate, which will receive significant payments. This aspect is expected to attract great interest in the race.

FIFA will open a special transfer window between June 1 and June 10, 2025, to allow clubs to strengthen their squads for the tournament.
