Match day/ Albania starts its journey in the League of Nations, challenges


The Albanian national team starts this Saturday the journey in the League of Nations. The Reds face Ukraine, in the valuable challenge for group B1. 

Despite the difficulties presented by this match, the Albanian national team aims for victory. Coach Silvinjo was also clear about this, who stated that they enter the field for the 3 points and will fight hard for it. 

Albania dreams of qualifying for a World Cup and the League of Nations is one of the paths leading to qualification. 

The results of the matches in the League of Nations can also secure Albania a place in the 2026 World Cup.

The twelve teams that finish first in the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers immediately secure a place.

In the second stage, that of the "Play Off", the twelve second-placed teams will compete, together with the four best winners of the Nations League groups, based on the overall ranking of this competition. 

Albania needs to come out first in the first group of League B and even secure the matches with the best possible results to hope to participate in the play offs and then try for the World Cup. 

Hopes grow even more as there may be teams which in the league of nations qualify for the play off for a place in the World Cup, but before that they may have secured the ticket to the World Cup from the qualifiers of this competition.

However, before the calculations are made, the Reds and Blacks must take the matches one by one, starting with the first one. 

The meeting with Ukraine is scheduled to be played this Saturday evening, starting at 20:45, at the "Epet" stadium in the Czech Republic.
