Milan and one of the most important players of the "red" team have reached an agreement to renew the contract.

According to Italian media reports, the parties are expected to sign the cooperation extension very soon.

The contract of the French goalkeeper expires in the summer of 2026 and in order not to risk losing him with ready parameters, Milan is working intensively to sign the new contract as soon as possible.

Currently at Milan, Maignan earns 2.8 million euros per season, while after the renewal the goalkeeper aims to receive a salary of 8 million euros.

The salary was the only issue why the parties have not signed yet, since the "Djall" club offers a seasonal salary of 6 million euros, that is, less than the figure requested by the 29-year-old.

However, the media from the neighboring country report that the parties in question are working to find an agreement and the renewal will happen very soon. /CNA
