Sarri's "bomb": Football may disappear in 10 years

Mauricio Sarri is not always spared in his statements and the coach of Lazio this time is targeting those who think that the number of matches that professional footballers can play in a season should be increased. As always, gatherings with the national teams are a concern for the coach.

Sarri said:

I've heard comparisons to the NBA, but there are 48 minutes played instead of 90, and fewer shots are taken than in soccer. And they want to add more matches, thus increasing the injuries and reducing the spectacle.

Football has turned from a sport into a business. But if it will only be transformed into a business, I don't rule out that after 10 years no one will follow it anymore, because maybe people will find something more interesting to follow".
