"The referee accepted the blame and asked for forgiveness", in Bayern

Real Madrid's qualification to the Champions League final against Bayern Munich has not been without controversy. The Germans felt robbed by the refereeing of the match.

This was also expressed by the coach of the Bavarians, Thomas Tuchel, after the match, where he did not spare the accusations.

"On the disallowed goal, I think it was an absolute disaster. With Real Madrid's second goal, they let the game continue. The clear rule is that the game must continue. The first error was made by the referee, the second by the main referee. It was a clear violation of the rules. I think the Bernabeu stadium had its effect on the referees," said Tuchel.

Defender Matthijs De Ligt was on the same line with the coach, who stated that the referee accepted the mistake and apologized after the match.

"We all know the rules and it is clear that if it is not an obvious offside position, the action must be allowed to end. It was embarrassing. Even Hozelu's goal was almost offside, but he let the action finish and then checked it... while in our case, no. Unbelievable.

Blowing the whistle on such an action, at the last minute, is a grave mistake. I don't know if it was offside or not, but if you can't review it, we'll never know. The winger apologized to me, admitted the mistake."

This is not the first time that matches between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have created controversy in the Champions League, as the same has happened in the past.
