ARRSH issues the announcement/ How the situation is presented in the snowy areas

The Albanian Road Authority has provided information on the condition of the roads after the heavy snowfall that fell during the night and this morning.

ARRSH announces that the road axes Tamarë-Vermosh, Qafë Thore-Bogë, Valbonë, Kukës-Shishtavec, Vaudejes-Pukë-Kukës, Korçë-Dardë, Qafë Qarri-Ersekë have been cleared.

None of the above axes have traffic problems. ARRSH calls for drivers to be equipped with winter tires and chains if they are going to drive on roads where snow falls.

"During the night there was snowfall in the mountainous areas such as: Tamarë-Vermosh, in Qafë Thore-Bogë, in Valbona, Kukës-Shishtavec, Vaudejes-Pukë-Kukës, Korçë-Dardë, Qafë Qarri-Ersekë accompanied by low temperatures up to at -8°C.

Working groups with snow removal tools have continued to work without interruption in the field to clear snow and distribute salt to avoid frost.

Traffic continues without problems.

Drivers should be equipped with winter tires and chains when traveling to segments with the presence of snow, reduce speed, respect the traffic signs and instructions of the Traffic Police", announces ARRSH./ CNA
