After the victory in Tirana, the re-elected mayor at the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked all the citizens who entrusted him with a third mandate, to move the affairs of the capital forward.

Veliaj said that he will be the president of all and promised the citizens of Tirana, humility and rolled up sleeves in the service of the citizens.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the extraordinary dedication in this journey, in these days so exciting, so busy, but so rewarded with this victory. I want to thank all the presidents of the SP, in all 27 units of Tirana. We have not only won the Greater Municipality of Tirana, we have massively won in all 27 units of the Greater Municipality of Tirana. A result of 27 to 0, where in all units we are above 50%. I want to thank those who produced our victory, I thank the 300,000 voters of Tirana, despite the fact that the day was rainy, despite the fact that for three hours we had problems in many polling stations, despite the fact that some were sick and went on stretchers, despite the fact that some were on crutches or in wheelchairs, despite the fact that some were still going through difficult situations from an illness, they turned out to vote,

We considered the vote sacred, the day sacred, and used it as an opportunity to speak loudly and speak clearly. Thank you to 55% of Tirana, its voters, who gave us a clear mandate, spoke clearly, gave us a clear message, gave us a decision-making for a Tirana that in its vast majority only wants to move forward, wants to to continue the works that have been started, I want Tirana to become more and more European and continue to be the engine of development in Albania. This victory did not take me to heaven, it brought me down to earth, like no other message, like no other vote. Therefore, today I promise you humility, modesty, a lowered head and rolled up sleeves to move forward", said Veliaj.

Then, he said that Tirana showed us very clearly that more than a finger, it requires an outstretched hand and a clenched hand.

"Tirana showed that it liked those who plant trees, instead of those who divide. I say to all Democrats that I will also be your president, humbly, just as our administration has not divided people into left and right. I want to thank those on the right who did not accept that local elections turn into elections for and against America. I also want to thank those who think differently from us and tell them that your vote is not in vain", concluded Veliaj.
