Prime Minister Edi Rama was absent from today's plenary session, where the case of former FBI official Charles McGonigal was discussed.

The socialists said that Rama was not present because of his busy schedule, while the head of the government himself admitted on television that he did not go to Parliament on purpose.

On this issue, the prime minister "clashed" with analyst Enton Abilekaj, as the latter stated that Rama lied and cited Article 80 of the Constitution regarding the obligation to appear in interpellations.

Abilekaj: Neni 80 i Kushtetutës thotë: Kryeministri dhe çdo anëtar tjetër i Këshillit të Ministrave është i detyruar t’u përgjigjet interpelancave dhe pyetjeve të deputetëve brenda tri javëve. Kjo është interpelancë urgjente. Kështu që është detyrim kushtetues, por kryeministri nuk njeh kushtetutën.

Rama: Unë e njoh shumë mirë kushtetutën, por ka një rregullore të Parlamentit të Shqipërisë dhe sot interpelanca ka qenë gati, ka qenë e deleguar sipas asaj rregulloreje që është votuar me konsensus, por të lutem shumë mos na interfero tani që t’i japim përgjigje pyetejve që ka drejtuesi i emisionit i cili më ka ftuar për t’iu përgjigjur pyetjeve të tij.
