The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said in the Now show on Euronews Albania that the rule of the party charter that the chairman leaves if he does not win the elections, does not operate in the local elections.

This, according to him, since the participation in local elections is smaller than in those for power.

He added that he will say goodbye if he loses the general election race.

"In the rules of the party, no leader resigns for local elections. Local elections are not the test of a leader, but I have set the standard.
