"May the neodictatorship be good to you"/ Ylli Manjani's strong

The former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, has come out with a strong reaction regarding the registration of the DP in the elections, as he writes that the call of the head of the CEC to allow the registration of "disruptors" is a democratic alarm.

The former minister reasons that the judge of the Appeal of Tirana, Elona Stavri-Toro, can solve this case in just 5 minutes.

Manjani emphasizes that keeping Berisha's PD out of the elections due to procedural reasons is anti-democratic and anti-constitutional, adding further that the elections held under these conditions are neither free nor fair.

“Thirrje publike dhe zyrtare e Ilirjan Celibashit për të lejuar rregjistrimin e Partisë Demokratike, është alarm demokratik.

Gjykata e Apelit Tiranë, konkretisht gjyqtarja Elona Stavri-Toro, ka në dorë ta zgjidhë këtë çështje për vetëm 5 minuta. Në kaq pak minuta ajo ka në dorë të neverisë në bazë të ligjit atë sajesë-ankim të një të mllefosuri në shërbim të monizmit, i cili sidoqoftë nuk ishte palë në gjykim.

Kështu siç janë gjërat, Partia Demokratike, ajo e demokratëve shqiptarë, nuk lejohet të rregjistrohet në zgjedhjet vendore si subjekt politik.

Ndalimi i konkurimit të partive në zgjedhje, kur ato nuk janë me qëllime antikushtetuese, nuk ka asnjë lidhje me zgjedhjet e lira e të ndershme. Nuk ka asnjë lidhje me demokracinë dhe rendin kushtetues.

Keeping the DP out of the elections with procedural features is not a technical issue as some public commentators say, but it is anti-constitutional and anti-democracy.

I repeat that banning a party, the second largest in the country, from competing is anti-constitutional and anti-democratic. Elections held under these conditions are not even free and fair elections. Democratic, no, no!
