The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, has distributed a communication for the open list candidates.

Celibashi assured that the CEC has taken all measures to prevent vote theft.

This reaction came after several concerns about the integrity of the count.

Communication for candidates for MP on the 'Open List'

Given some concerns about the integrity of the counting and evaluation of preferential votes, I assure you that the CEC has taken all organizational, human and technical measures to prevent the 'trafficking' of votes for the candidates of the 'open list' of any entity.

The CEC has recorded and has video footage of the vote counting and evaluation process for political parties and coalitions.

If, during the process of counting and evaluating votes for candidates on the 'open list', discrepancies are found between what results in the video footage and what will result in the process of evaluating votes for the candidate, then the counters or commissioners responsible for this case will be held criminally liable for a serious violation of electoral integrity./ CNA
