Bylykbashi proposes changes to the Criminal Code/ "Target corrupt

The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Oerd Bylykbashi, during the meeting of the Committee on Legal Affairs, has proposed a change in the criminal code, which defines the criminal offenses, punishments and other measures taken against their authors.

During his speech, he said that corrupt officials should be targeted, as according to him, they have evidence that the ministers, even though they are under criminal prosecution, are protected by the prime minister.

"We propose a change in the criminal code. Corruption is getting worse. Government corruption is a major part of vote buying. According to this provision, they will be responsible to public opinion until 2037. This cannot be a shield for them. The statute of limitations cannot protect corruption, and the prime minister. We must target corrupt officials. We have evidence that the ministers are under criminal prosecution and are protected by the prime minister", said Bylykbashi./CNA
