In a book written by journalist Ronen Bergman "Rise And Kill First - The Secret History of Israel's Targeted Assassinations" an episode from Prime Minister Sharon's government in 2002 is told.

In one of these cases, when the number of civilian victims of a bomb dropped by the Israeli aviation was high, the Israeli opinion started a wave of irritated reactions to the so-called "targeted assassinations", with collateral damage to civilians.

A number of reservist aviators, among them heroes of Israel, went public and declared outrage and dissent, signed petitions and announced that they would not fly if aviation stocks had collateral risk.

Sharon's associates were quick to brand the heroic airmen as defeatists and traitors. Some even asked for their symbolic punishment.

Sharon's response, who understood the weight of public opinion, was: "in this petition there are people who have done the greatest heroic deeds for Israel. Understand that a fire has fallen in our cypresses, so we have to deal with it".

After that, Sharon took care to put out the fire, so he stopped the cleaning actions of the moment.

Every state, society, political formation needs a moral compass, which directs and corrects the path, it also needs its "cypresses", righteous, pure moral, dedicated and experienced people to face when you deviate or become blind.

The minds of the Albanian opposition have been clouded these days by the imprisonment of a DP deputy, and no one makes an effort to look away from the personal fate of a public figure, who I personally consider an ugly political model for society.

The MP is in prison, because he was involved in the fabrication of a "political scandal", as a form of doing politics, with disinformation of the public, with the spread of falsehoods as facts and stagings as evidence.

The fabrication of "scandals" is an unacceptable form of politics in democratic societies, it is a deception of the people, it is in flagrant contradiction with the morality of the society and it is discrediting to the political force that practices it.

The political foca that fabricated the so-called "Babale" scandal, has fabricated in a short period of time the scandal of containers with poisons imported from Italy, even for those who know the truth, the scandal with the German newspaper Bild, and the "evidence" of the theft of votes in Peshkopi.

In all these cases, people have rushed after the "scandal", they have not even separated or distanced themselves, even after the "scandal" was unmasked as a fabrication. No one has risen to appeal to morality, to draw the ear of leadership, to open the eyes of liars.

In falsification, the fabrication of "crises" has no cause, because falsification and fabrication have no morals. Therefore, they cannot be tools for doing politics, so the politicians who become their carriers and promoters are ugly and unacceptable models.

In this opposition journey, the DP leadership has taken care not to leave a cypress standing in the democratic forest, but it cannot disorient the moral compass of the democrats.

The calls for protests do not go up as long as the opposition does not make a clear distance from its deceptive tactics, from the fabrication of fake scandals and the covering up of real scandals, according to the interest of the moment.

A huge fire has broken out inside the democratic forest.

There is only one way to extinguish it, to change course immediately, today and unequivocally. Maybe this will pave the way for this forest to be renewed with cypress trees.
