Taylor Swift's concert in Rio de Janeiro has been accompanied by a serious incident. A fan of the singer died on Friday evening during the concert that the famous singer held at the "Olímpico Nilton Santos" stadium in Rio de Janeiro, foreign media reports .

23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides fainted during the show and is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest. This is the statement given by her cousin, Estela Benevides. Doctors at the stadium tried to keep the young girl alive, but they could not.

In several videos shared on social media, Swift was seen pleading with stadium staff to give water to concertgoers, as according to sources, the stadium was too hot and water was not allowed to enter from outside.

Shortly after the show ended, Swift reacted to the shocking event, writing between the lines that the fan had passed away before entering the stadium.

"I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it's with a broken heart that we lost a fan tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this," Swift wrote .

Brazil has been gripped by a heat wave for several days and it is thought that during the concert the heat increased even further, causing temperatures to reach above 40 degrees.
