Couple with 18 children / Mother needs 3 hours to cook 1 meal, this is how they avoid chaos at home

When Chris Hart-Spegal met his now-wife Desiree in October 2013, he had eight children and she had three, and after they married in 2014 they combined their families, the couple had seven more together, and now their family has 20 members.

Although they say they like that they have a lot, they admit that there are also negative sides, such as spending a lot on food and having trouble keeping the house tidy.

"It's hard for me to keep things clean and organized," Desiree told the Daily Mail.

A typical morning for a mother who works for a car dealership starts with laundry.

She has to do more than 10 washes a week to clean the children's dirty clothes before she can start preparing breakfast for the children.

"When I cook for kids, it usually takes me one to three hours, depending on what I'm cooking," she explained.

After the meal is over, she prepares lunch and then has to spend hours cleaning up.

She admitted that although she sometimes finds it difficult to keep the house tidy, her children help her a lot.

Desiree explained that while their household can be 'chaotic' at times, she makes sure to stay organized and spend quality time with each child.
