Owner of a betting shop/ 40-year-old Albanian man injured by gunfire in Italy

A serious incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Velletri, on the outskirts of Rome, where a 40-year-old man of Albanian origin was injured by gunfire.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 9:00 PM, on Via Mariano Colagrossi.

Italian media report that citizen AH, owner of a betting shop, had just parked his vehicle and was heading towards his apartment when he was shot from behind by as yet unidentified persons.

The perpetrators immediately fled the scene, losing all trace. The injured man was urgently transported to the hospital, where he is reportedly in critical condition.

Italian authorities have launched investigations and are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and capture the perpetrators of this attack. /CNA
