Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke today about the murder that occurred the day before in Memaliaj, where the victim was a 30-year-old man. Invited to Euronews, the journalist said that the dynamics of the event are known, while the motive is not yet known.

According to him, the suspicions are that the murder came from a clash over territory. Hoxha further added that this may be one of those issues that will not be resolved.

"The one who came from outside was armed and opened fire and it was the reaction from inside and the fate of those inside who escaped with one wounded. In this specific case, the dynamics are known, but not the motive, because there was an exchange of fire and if there had not been a quick reaction from the perpetrator, the damage would have been greater there, because the victim came armed and determined to open fire and one of the Nela brothers reacted quickly. But in the end we are dealing with the loss of human lives, but the suspicions are that it is an incitement for small interests. It is suspected that there was no direct connection, but it comes incited by other people and it is more of a clash for territory. The bar that the Nela brothers opened, after one of them was released from prison, turned into the main bar where there was more business in the city and this apparently was not viewed favorably by the other side and maybe it did not start to end in victims, maybe it started to demonstrate force, but we are in this situation, we are still in a preliminary investigation. In "In the last three years, Memaliaj is the city with the highest probability that you can lose your life. I hope there is no further damage there, but I think it is not an issue that will be resolved," Hoxha said. /CNA
