The police operation coded "Start-Smart", by the Narcotics Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department, under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, is finalized after a several-week investigation with proactive methods.

During the operation, hundreds of doses of cannabis ready for sale, 1 shotgun, military ammunition, 2 vehicles, 6 mobile phones and a lot of money in Lek and Euro were seized. 

As part of the operation, the following citizens were arrested in the act:

MP, 29 years old and A. Gj., 30 years old, resident of Lezhë, suspected of the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in cooperation.

These citizens were stopped by the services of the Special Operational Force, while they were driving in the city of Lezha. During the control exercised in the vehicle, doses of the suspected narcotic substance cannabis were found and seized as material evidence.

Following the procedural actions, controls were carried out in the residence of the citizen MP, where 323 doses of cannabis were found, and in the residence of the citizen A. Gj., where 18 doses of cannabis were found, which were seized as material evidence.  

Following the operation, the proceedings began in a free state for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", for citizens PP, 60 years old (father of citizen MP) and A. Gj., 24 years old (cohabitant of citizen A. Gj. ).

Also, the procedure started in a free state for citizens:

A. Gj., 66 years old, for the criminal offense of "Manufacturing and keeping hunting and sporting weapons without a permit", after a shotgun and ammunition were found in his apartment, which he kept without a permit;

DF, 36 years old, for the criminal offense of "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", after 5,050 euros and 513,000 new lek were found in his apartment./ CNA
