In the "Mother Teresa" Cathedral in Pristina, the holy Christmas mass was held, which was led by the Bishop of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji, who called for peace. He said that people's peace on earth is a gift that comes from God and comes closer to humanity.

"Hope and happiness are not found in the wealth of the earth, nor in politics and power, nor in glory, but mysteriously hidden within the gifts and graces we receive from God", he said during the mass.

On the occasion of the Christmas holiday, the Bishopric of Kosovo also organized a solemn reception, which was attended by personalities from political and cultural life.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Alin Kurti, who participated in this reception, wished Bishop Dodë Gjergji and the Catholic faithful a Merry Christmas.

President Vjosa Osmani wished all Christian believers, as she said, to increase their hope and open their hearts on this day.

"May health, happiness and peace prevail in everyone's home! Let's be in solidarity, reflect harmony and celebrate together," she wrote on Facebook.

Christmas is the most important holiday in the calendar of Christian holidays and is celebrated every year on the night between December 24 and 25./ Rel
