NATO vazhdon të ndjekë nga afër zhvillimet në Iran dhe rajonin përreth tij. Kështu ka deklaruar një zëdhënës i selisë ushtarake të aleancës në një deklaratë ditën e sotme.
“Komandanti Suprem i Forcave Aleate të NATO-s për Evropën, Gjenerali Amerikan Alexus Grynkewich, u shpreh se vijon bisedimet në mënyrë aktive dhe të rregullt me udhëheqësit ushtarakë në të dyja anët e Atlantikut dhe me Sekretarin e Përgjithshëm të NATO-s", tha koloneli Martin O’Donnell, zëdhënës i Shtabit Suprem të Fuqive Aleate për Evropën.
Gjithashtu u shpreh se komandanti i lartë do të vazhdojë të përshtasë qëndrimin shumë të fortë të NATO-s për të siguruar sigurinë e 32 vendeve anëtare dhe për të mbrojtur Aleancën nga kërcënimet e mundshme, të tilla si raketat balistike ose mjetet ajrore pa pilot. /CNA
