Macron visits China next week/ The message to Xi Jinping will be clear

French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to China next week for talks with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

Macron wants to send a "clear warning" to his counterpart Xi Jinping, who was hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin earlier this month, that Europe will not accept China supplying Russia with arms.

"Our message will be clear: there may be a temptation to get closer to Russia, but don't cross that line," said an unnamed senior French diplomat.
