Four Russians were caught in Norway/ Photographing objects that are not allowed
Police in Oslo

Four Russian nationals, three men and one woman, were arrested last week and are in custody in Norway after they were seen photographing objects that are not allowed to be photographed.

This is what the Norwegian police said on October 17, without specifying which objects the arrested persons had photographed.

The police found " photographic equipment and many photographs " when the car in which the arrested were traveling was stopped for inspection on October 11.

The authorities have not released the identity of those arrested. Police said they came to Norway through Finland, claiming to be tourists.

Authorities in Norway did not say whether the case is related to two other cases of Russians arrested in other Nordic NATO member states after police discovered they were in possession of drones.

In recent weeks, a number of drones have been reported to be seen near oil and gas platforms in Norway.

The police refused to provide other details, " due to the nature of this case" .

Norway has sent soldiers to help guard offshore oil and gas processing plants, the military announced on October 3. The dispatch of the soldiers was made after security concerns, due to a suspected sabotage in the Russian gas pipelines under the Baltic./ REL
