The attack on the police in Kosovo/ Presidency: Serbia has turned to open
President Vjosa Osmani and Blerim Vela

The chief of staff in the Presidency Cabinet, Blerim Vela, has stated that the Serbian regime has gone from the secret actions of illegal structures to open threats to carry out aggression against Kosovo.

"The regime in Serbia is moving from the covert violent actions of its own illegal structures in Kosovo to an open threat of using police and military forces to carry out aggression against Kosovo. According to Russia's principles, this is a flagrant threat to endanger peace and stability in the region and beyond," he wrote on Twitter.

Vela reacted after Serbia threatened to return the army to the territory of Kosovo. The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, has said that Serbia is considering the possibility of sending 1,000 security forces to the territory of Kosovo, a few hours after the Kosovo Police increased its presence in the north of the country.

On Thursday, the Kosovo Police increased its presence in the north, after the attacks that took place in the northern municipalities in the last two days, as the municipal election officials tried to open their offices in these municipalities in preparation for the local elections, writes Koha. nights

Elections for mayors of four municipalities in the north: North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq and Zveçan, are scheduled to be held on December 18. Meanwhile, the elections for municipal assemblies in Zveçan and Leposaviq municipalities will be held on December 25.
