The annual change measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices in May 2022 is 6.0%.

The largest increase of prices of 13.3% is observed in the group "Transport", followed by the groups "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" with 9.6%, "Rent, water, fuel and energy" with 4.8%, " "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" with 4.3%, "Hotels, cafes and restaurants" with 3.5%, "Furniture, home appliances and maintenance" with 3.4%, "Clothing and footwear" with 2.1%, " "Entertainment and culture" by 1.2%, "Miscellaneous goods and services" by 1.0%, "Educational service" by 0.9% and "Communication" by 0.8%.

In May 2022, the monthly change measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices is -0.8%.

This change was mainly influenced by the reduction of prices of the group "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" by 2.4%, followed by the group "Entertainment and culture" by 2.3%. On the other hand, the prices of the group "Furniture, home appliances and maintenance" increased by 0.9%, followed by "Cafes and restaurants" by 0.4%, "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" by 0.3%, " "Clothing and footwear" and "Transport" with 0.2% each and "Rent, water, fuel and energy" with 0.1 % ./CNA.al
