The journalist states that during the year 2023 in total, the construction field received 847 million euros in financing from banks, or only 22% of the value it produced.

She emphasizes that there is investment of dirty money in this field.

"Bank deposits, on the other hand, have increased by 660 million euros from January 2022 and by 85 million euros from the beginning of the year to December 2023. The weight of construction and real estate activity in the economy has reached 15% of national production in recent years, according to INSTAT.

In 2023, gross domestic product in nominal value was 25 billion euros, according to the projections of the Ministry of Finance. So it is fitting that construction and the real estate market had a value of 3.7 billion euros.
