Delphi Economic Forum/Tirana at the center of regional, economic and political

The Delphi Economic Forum held its 5th edition on December 10 in Tirana to highlight Albania's increasingly important role as an international center for economic and political dialogue in Southeast Europe.

For the fifth consecutive year in Tirana, the Forum brought together high-level representatives from politics, business and academia in Albania and the international community.

The Delphi Economic Forum takes place annually in strategic capitals such as Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Washington, Toronto, Bucharest and Sofia, strengthening international dialogue on development and regional cooperation.

Following the opening remarks by Symeon G. Tsomokos, of the Economic Forum, Delphi, Greece, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, spoke about the prospects of the Albanian economy, in a rapidly changing international environment. The Prime Minister emphasized Albania's rapid progress towards EU integration as well as in several sectors such as the economy, tourism or the military industry.

Also present were Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation, Republic of Albania; Elisa Spiropali, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Republic of Albania; Edona Bilali, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Republic of Albania; Anastas Angjeli, Member of the Albanian Academy of Sciences and of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania; Silvio Gonzato, Ambassador, Delegation of the European Union to Albania, etc.

The topics of discussion during the proceedings of this forum touched on issues ranging from green growth to social innovation and new investment opportunities in Albania.

The Tirana Economic Forum continues to serve as a point of reference for those crystallizing a strong and sustainable economic future for Southeast Europe.
