Surprisingly, the Police/ "MEMEX" has not been affected

Today, the data of persons suspected by the State Police, who may be related to the world of crime, have been published. 

After the circulation of this information, the State Police reacted by announcing that the MEMEX system was not hacked and that the recently published data is not related to the database of the police system.

STATE POLICE RESPONSE

From the statements made today in the media and the references of these statements, according to which data was obtained from the MEMEX system, we clarify the public opinion that this system was not affected and that these data have nothing to do with the database of the MEMEX police system.

The State Police announces that, until these moments, sensitive data administered in this system, which are related to police work, have not been affected or damaged.

The State Police, in close cooperation with partners, is investigating the origin of the leak of these data and appeals that, in accordance with the prosecutor's order, dated 19.09.2022, they are not published by the audiovisual media, written, online, in social networks or in any form of publication or transfer, data posted by the authors of this cyberattack against the digital systems of the State Police.
