4 officers are suspended from work in Korça / They were bringing stolen

The Police Supervision Agency has suspended 4 police officers from the Kapshtica border point and the Korca police station. Police officers are accused of "misuse of duty".

From the investigations, it was found that the citizen MC has trafficked in Albania vehicles that appear to be stolen in Greece, making changes to the identifying elements in order to equip them with false documents, with the aim of selling them in our country.

Likewise, it has been documented with evidence and legal facts that the Police officers, in abuse of duty and contrary to the legal and by-laws in force, did not carry out verifications on the documentation of the means, the lack of powers of attorney or the authorizations that the citizen should have MC

The police seized 6 suspected stolen vehicles, worth 130,000 euros.

Police Notification:

The Police Surveillance Agency (Elbasan-Korçë Region) has executed the order of the Prosecution for the execution of the decision of the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction, which has decided the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the citizen MC, 32 years old. as a suspect for committing the criminal offense "Trafficking of motor vehicles".

AMP also executed the Court's decision, for the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service", as persons suspected of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" against 4 police officers:

- Inspector MM, 32 years old, with the duty of a police officer at the Kapshtice PKK;
- Inspector SL, 56 years old, police officer at PKK Kapshtice;
- Inspector EM, 35 years old, with the duty of a police officer near the Kapshtice PKK;
- Deputy Commissioner MA, 28 years old, with the duty of Specialist for the investigation of crimes at the Korça Police Station.

From the investigations carried out with proactive methods in relation to this criminal proceeding, it has been found that the citizen MC has trafficked in Albania vehicles that appear to be stolen in Greece, making changes to the identification elements to then equip them with false documents, with intended for sale in our country. Likewise, it has been documented with evidence and legal facts that the Police employees, in abuse of duty and in violation of the legal and bylaws in force, as well as in violation of the Standard Work Procedures, did not perform verifications on the documentation of the tools, the lack of powers of attorney or the authorizations that the MC citizen should have at the time of introducing these means into the Albanian territory.

As material evidence, 6 suspected stolen vehicles, worth 130,000 euros, were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office of the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction for further actions.
