After the tragic accident, the Socialist Party proposes strong changes to the Highway Code

Following the recent tragic accidents in the country and numerous violations of road traffic rules by drivers, the Socialist Party has proposed new amendments to the Highway Code.

The changes aim to increase road safety and impose stricter measures against violators, especially for young drivers.

According to the proposed amendments:

-Persons caught driving without a license will have their driving license suspended for one year.

-No blood alcohol level will be allowed for new drivers during the first two years of having a license.

-Drivers caught with over 0.5 grams of alcohol in their blood will face permanent license revocation.

-New drivers, up to two years after obtaining their license, will not be allowed to drive at speeds above 90 km/h.

-Also, new drivers will not be able to drive from midnight to 6 am without the presence of a licensed companion.

These measures are expected to be debated in the relevant parliamentary committees, while the main goal remains to reduce the number of accidents and increase discipline in road traffic.
