"From Kakavija to Tirana"/ Albanian Orthodox pay homage to Archbishop

With deep sorrow, the Albanian Orthodox people welcomed the late Archbishop Anastas Janullatos along the road from the Albanian border in Kakavija to the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral in Tirana.

With deep sorrow and regret, the Orthodox believing people of Albania welcomed today the late Archbishop Anastasios, all the way from the Albanian border, initially in Kakavija, then at the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Gjirokastra, where he was welcomed by the clergy of the metropolis, the students of the "Frymë Dashurie" school that he founded, as well as hundreds of believers.

In his beloved Cathedral of the "Resurrection of Christ" in Tirana, in addition to the participation of the entire Holy Synod, clergy and believers from all the metropolitanates gathered together to welcome the restorer of our Church and the Hierarch who, with his magnificent and God-inspired work, inspired and united many hearts and peoples, leaving them an immortal legacy.
