Prince Leka II and his partner Blerta Celibashi, in an interview given, the first after the video scandal with ex-wife Elia Zaharia, explained the dynamics of the event and how the events unfolded.

He talked about the divorce and the relationship with his new partner.

Even Blerta Celibashi, Princ Leka's partner, speaking about their relationship, said that when the video was released they were at the beginning of their relationship and therefore did not speak out because they were afraid for their relationship.

 

"We haven't spoken because it was a big challenge for us, we were at the beginning of an unconsolidated relationship and this would either bring us together or tear us apart, but the former happened."

"It was hard for me to stand next to the prince. I had seen the video before, when he showed it to me he was restrained and told me to take the video to the police station ," Celibashi said.

 

We have gone through many challenges for the release of the video and the bad treatment by the media. I have appeared in institutions that have told me that I could trust them, but I was wrong because I should never have given the video. The Tirana Prosecutor's Office has confiscated the phone and we have had extraordinary pressures.

This was a completely unexpected event. Blerta was part of the abuse.

The first person I told about my relationship with Blerta was Elia, as soon as I hugged Blerta.

My breakup went through several stages, in the second stage we stayed distanced inside a house, but everything was fake, even a nice postcard.

The last phase was the legal one, we had no conflicts in any sphere, not even in the division of property, we had signed all the documents and we would keep everything secret for Geraldine's sake. It was not my intention to damage the image
