The situation in Tirana Lake and the Lana River/ Head of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution: We have conducted audits, pollution at a high level

The Head of the High State Audit Office, Arben Shehu, raised the alarm today regarding pollution in Lake Tirana and the Lana River.

In his speech to the Economy Committee, Shehu said that defined audits have been conducted in relation to taking measures.

According to him, the results from these audits show that the level of pollution in these water areas of the capital requires the immediate implementation of measures based on the recommendations made.

"Regarding the pollution in Lake Tirana and the Lana River, we have conducted audits that are defined in terms of taking measures. We have requested the immediate implementation of the recommendations, as in many cases we are dealing with pollution of a not low level," said Shehu. /CNA
