In the Holy Metropolis of Korça, the reception by Monsignor Joan Pelushi began at 11:00, where hundreds of believers exchanged their congratulations with the metropolitan and other participants. In the premises of the Metropolis, political figures and leaders of institutions participated, who conveyed their congratulations on this holy day.

The mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, has emphasized that this day coincides with the birth of Christ, as the birth of hope and faith for better days.

"Today is a holy day, a happy day, a day of celebration for all the Christian believers of the city, the municipality of Korcce and the whole country. It is Christmas day. The birth of Christ is not the birth of an ordinary person, but it is the birth of hope, of hope for better days. So, on this special day, I would like to wish all Christian believers, and families beyond, happy! May this day bring more hope and faith for better days."

For the chairman of the district council, Erjon Nexhipi, Christmas is the holiday that generalizes our society as it symbolizes the birth of a child.

"Christmas is a holiday that I can say generalizes our entire society. It is celebrated by everyone because it has an extraordinary symbolism, the birth of a child. I wish the Albanians a Merry Christmas!"
