Two new programs will be added to the Faculty of Natural Sciences for the new academic year 2024-2025, which adapt to market requirements, which will also affect the increase in the academic offer, through the selection of study programs in this faculty.

This was announced by the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, during a meeting with the academic staff and lecturers of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

 "There are two new bachelor programs, which have already been approved in the first phase by MAS for the opening in the new academic year 2024-2025, 'Pharmaceutical Chemistry', and 'Physics and Computer Science', two programs which will awaken the interest of young people and high school students", she declared.

The Minister also visited the Physics, Chemistry and Informatics laboratories equipped with the highest technology for the development of lessons and which will also be in operation for the two new programs "Pharmaceutical Chemistry" and "Physics and Computer Science", where students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge in these areas, preparing them for today's and future labor market.

In the meeting, the importance of the commitment of the Faculty of Natural Sciences to be included in the National Program for the Professional Development of Teachers was also underlined.

"We have announced the National Professional Development Program for teachers, a program which aims to increase the capacities and provide effective teaching methods for about 4 thousand teachers of science, mathematics, ICT, technology and information and also Albanian language and within 2025, over 16 thousand teachers will be trained. We are working on the training modules, which we want to be very practical and really contain those effective methods that make teachers increase their potential and capacities within the subject they teach", said Manastirliu./ CNA
