The head of the High State Audit, Arben Shehu, has requested that the SPAK and not the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana investigate the scandal at the Oncology Hospital.

Shehu said that this case is a competence of the special prosecution, as he warned that the scandal is bigger than what has been reported in the media.

"Unfortunately, the problem is bigger, we are forced to combine the responsibilities of not only one institution. In order to highlight a complete picture of the situation in this regard, and I want to emphasize to you that it is very important, we are of the opinion and have assessed that this is a competence of the special prosecution, due to the provisions of the law and the importance that there are problems, which we will make public in the future", he said.

In an appearance for the media, the head of the HSC stated that a number of problems were found from their audits.

"We are in the conditions where we have ascertained a number of problems during the audit because I want to emphasize here that they have been carried out and are being carried out, part of which is the Oncology Hospital and at the same time I want to tell you with full responsibility that we are in a kind of treatment in-depth, processes which are unfinished, at the same time we are in in-depth legal treatment in those cases which are completed and I must inform you that the completion of the problems in the Oncology Hospital, despite its importance, is only a part of the segment of the real situation", emphasized Shehu./ CNA
