The debate on the Oncology scandal in the Parliament/Balulu-opposition: The
Belinda Balluku

The debate about the scandal in the Oncology hospital was transferred this Thursday to the Assembly. Deputy Albana Vokshi requested that the 3 ministers Albana Koçiu, Ogerta Manastirliu and Ulsi Manja should be dismissed or resign, as they were aware of the scandal.

Initially, the answer to this issue was given to the opposition by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who said that the SP has enabled the Reform in Justice, which will give deserved punishment to doctors and anyone who violates the law.

"The reform in Justice was done by the SP. You've been there for years and you never did. And if today the judiciary is taking all measures to put the right of the citizens in place, it is being done because of that reform and because of the transparency created by the SP and the Rama government.

So these stories of ministers who have to leave you can ask for them, but the minister should continue his work as he is doing well even and in the meantime we are the ones who take the measures and the minister will inform you all how they are doing the measures at the Ministry of Health for all those doctors for whom we are deeply shocked and disgusted by everything they have done", said Balluku.

Then Minister Albana Koçiu said that an administrative investigation has been launched for this case, while adding that they will seek to change the law on the Physician's Order.

The minister's speech was met with protest by opposition MPs, who opposed Koçi's statement from the country and demanded her resignation./ CNA
