Scandal/ Residents live in mud and dust 2 km from the center of Tirana, Veliaj

Journalist Erjon Skëndaj has been in one of the areas of Tirana, in Laprakë, where he denounces how the residents of "Beshku" street in Laprakë live in scandalous conditions, with unpaved roads, dust and mud, as well as without water and sewage while paying taxes regularly.

The residents say that they have written several times to the Municipality of Tirana, but they have not received an answer and the situation continues to be the same.

Residents call on the Municipality of Tirana and Veliaj not to go to them only when they need votes, as they are not justifying them either.

It is scandalous that in 2024, after 9 years of running the Municipality of Tirana, the roads in the heart of the capital or a few kilometers away are in this condition, unpaved, with potholes, no sewers and what is the most screaming no water.

Despite the fact that they promise 24-hour water during the election, they never keep their promise, as in many areas and neighborhoods of Tirana there is no water, not even for 2 hours and not for 24 hours.

"A resident has made several requests on our behalf and he says it's the rails. Whose tracks are these? The rails are not in operation. I call on the municipality to turn their heads from us, how well they come at the time of elections for the vote. You have not justified the votes we have given you. They turn their heads away from us because it is the scandal of the world", the residents denounced./ CNA
