Investigations against Veliaj/ Ajola Xoxa, in panic

The investigations against Mayor Erion Veliaj continue. SPAK, in a public reaction, has emphasized that based on the investigations, it results that 4 charges are being filed against Mayor Erion Veliaj, passive corruption, active corruption, concealment of assets and money laundering.

SPAK has conducted searches in the apartment of the Veliaj-Xoxa couple as well as in the apartment of the mayor's brother, Arbër Veliaj, seizing phones, bills, and reportedly large sums of money.

Another search was conducted a few days ago in another apartment of the Veliaj-Xoxa couple, who seem to be in a panic due to the investigations being conducted by SPAK. 

Journalist Klodiana Lala has announced that Ajola Xoxa has appealed to the High Court against the decision of the Special Appeal. 

The Court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal filed by Ajola Xoxa against the decision of the personal search, and has also dismissed the appeal filed by Arbër Veliaj and two companies against the decision of the GJKKO for searches.

We recall that the GJKKO has rejected the request of Ajola Xoxa and Arbër Veliaj to return the items seized by SPAK./ CNA
