The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Abbott, held a meeting today with the Head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Dumani.
The meeting was held as an opportunity to talk in this very close period with the May 11 elections.
The Ambassador reaffirmed the United Kingdom's commitment to supporting SPAK.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation that during the five years of its operation, SPAK has become one of the most trusted institutions in Albania.

“His Majesty’s Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Nicholas Abbott, met with Mr. Altin Dumani, Head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), and reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting SPAK.
On the eve of the elections, we welcome SPAK's efforts to support Albanian democracy through the investigation of electoral crimes. During its five years of operation, SPAK has become one of the most trusted institutions in Albania and has been internationally recognized as such.
The United Kingdom remains a proud partner of SPAK and looks forward to further cooperation in 2025." /CNA
