The appeal of the GJKKO left the security measure in force / Meta's lawyer:

Kujtim Cakrani, the lawyer for Freedom Party president Ilir Meta, declared today that the appeal of the security measure will continue, while a few minutes ago a decision was issued to leave the 'prison arrest' in force.

In his speech at the end of the hearing at the Appeals Court of Kosovo, Cakrani stated that Meta should not be in detention, as he explained that he is accused of Article 260 of the Criminal Code.

"It's not that we expected anything from that court. We will continue the request for security measures. The case is already before the court and the preliminary hearing. The president should not be in prison. It's a shame. It doesn't happen anywhere. They have undoubtedly returned to political courts and there is no doubt about what is happening with President Meta. We have not yet decided what we will do with Judge Gjoka. Meta is the number two of the opposition, it is not normal for him to be in detention. This story does not end here. They should not depend on public opinion. Today I am talking about a procedure for replacing the measure. We will see how things will go, but the request for replacement will continue. He is accused of Article 260 of the Criminal Code. I only spoke for 40 minutes in the hearing. They have no chance to make fun of him, at least they have no chance with me", said Cakrani. /CNA
