The chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla, has defended Agron Malaj, the former guard who was on duty in the "January 21" event.

During the statement to the media, Balla stated that Malaj did not fire a single bullet in the "January 21" protest, where four people were killed.

"The truth is that guard Agron Malaj did not fire a single bullet. As mayor, he is appreciated by the entire population of Mati. This is not about who was working in the Guard at the time, but the criminal case in what we are trying to say is who brought the Guard into the war as an institution with unarmed men. I think that's the point. And Agron Malaj itself clarified it", said Balla./ CNA.al
