Roma has started thinking about the future and it seems that Marash Kumbulla will continue to be in its plans. The red club has renewed the contract of the defender of the Albanian national team, even though he is not a fixed point in Jose Mourinho's formation.

The club has decided to amortize the costs of the operations it has carried out in the market and thus, in order not to reduce the value of Kumbulla, for which there is continuous interest from other clubs, it has extended the current agreement which ended in 2025. "La Gazzetta Dello Sport" informs that the agreement was found before the World Cup and was only learned from the documents published by the Italian Federation about the percentages that the managers earned for their clients' firms.

Kumbulla's new contract, which ends in 2027, allows him to have a slightly higher salary than the current one, as from 1.3 million euros, it will go to 1.5 million euros thanks to the clauses, as there managed to play at least 28 games in the first year under Mourinho.
