German football once again proved that it is full of big surprises or last-second dramas.

The fans of the well-known German team, Hamburg, invaded the field at the end of the challenge won against Sandhausen in the transfer, thinking that they had secured direct promotion to the Bundesliga, while Heidenheim was defeated 2-1 by Regensburg.

But the miracle happened in the extra minutes: while the Hamburg fans celebrated like crazy, Heidenheim made the big reversal in the extra time (90+3' and 90+9').

With the victory achieved "in extremis", Heidenheim was catapulted to first place, while Darmstadt finished in second place (it had secured promotion), leaving a finger in the mouth exactly to Hamburg, which started the party ahead of time.
