There is no rest for Rei Manaj. When he seemed to have put his physical problems behind him and returned to shine with decisive goals, another injury has disrupted the striker's plans.

The player from Lushnja risks ending 2024 in nursing. The Albanian striker was invited to the national team for the two League of Nations challenges against the Czech Republic and Ukraine, but was forced to leave due to a muscle injury, which he had from his club Sivaspor. The Turkish club, in a recent reaction to the player's condition, has confirmed that Manaj needs a rehabilitation period of at least 4 to 6 weeks.

"Our player Rey Manaj suffered an injury in the right leg muscle in the match against Adana Demirspor played on October 25. He was diagnosed with a muscle injury during physical tests, according to the report prepared by the club doctor, in which it was determined that Manaj needed a rehabilitation period of at least 4-6 weeks.

During this period, our player could not play against Rizespor and Fenerbahçe due to this injury. On Friday, November 8, our club informed the Albanian national team about the current injury situation of the player and let them know that he was not in able to be selected for the matches against the Czech Republic and Ukraine in the League of Nations.

Our athlete, who was invited to the national team to do rehabilitation, was removed from the Albanian team after receiving a treatment. "Rey Manaj will return to Sivas next week and continue his treatment at the club's facilities," the communiqué states.

Manaj is expected to be out of action at least until mid-December. At best, Manaj will play in the last one or two matches of the Turkish championship for this calendar year.
