Supported Palestine, the Bundesliga club terminates the contract of the famous footballer

The Mainz club has decided to officially terminate the cooperation with Anuar El Gazi. The German team said goodbye to the Dutch footballer today, after the latter made it clear that he has not changed his mind about his pro-Palestine posts.

The footballer was transferred to Mainz as a free agent on September 22, but the experience with this club lasted only one game in total. The reason was his post immediately after the war between Israel and Palestine broke out. He had taken pro-Palestinian positions on social networks and this led Mainz to initially suspend the player.

The club only 3 days ago through a post made it clear that it was ready to return the player to the team as the latter felt sorry for the situation created. But El Gazi himself explained that he had not changed his point of view about the conflict in question and this has pushed Mainz to make the decision to unilaterally terminate the contract with him.
