The Cup of Albania starts on September 25, how will the scheme work in the new

The Cup of Albania will raise the curtain on the new 2024/2025 edition on September 25. Unlike last season where 44 teams participated, in this edition of this competition 42 teams will participate, i.e. 2 less than last season, from the championships "Abissnet Superiore", First Category, Second Category and the champion team of the Third Category of the 2023-2024 season.

The 2024-2025 Albanian Cup will consist of a pre-elimination stage and an elimination stage. The teams ranked from the first place to the eighth place in "Abyssnet Superiore" for the 2023-2024 season will compete starting from the 1/8 stage.

Four teams will play in the pre-elimination round. Naftetari (the team ranked 9th in Group A in the Second Category) will face the Basania team (the champion team of the Third Category in the 2023-2024 edition). The winning team will be in B16 in the tour scheme 1/32. The other pair of this tour is Murlani (team ranked 10th in Group A in Category II) – Albanians (team ranked 11th in Group A in Category II). The winning team will be in B15 in the tour scheme 1/32.

The matches of the 1/32 stage of this competition will be played on October 25. The 2 teams ranked in the 9th and 10th places of Abissnet Superiore in the 2023-2024 Season will participate, as well as the 12 teams participating in the championship. of the First Division in the 2023-2024 Season, the 16 teams ranked in the first eight places of the Second Division of groups A and B in the 2023-2024 Season, as well as the two qualified teams from the pre-elimination round.

To determine the quarter-finalist and semi-finalist pairs, a free draw will be made and the matches will be played in a round-robin format with two meetings.
