Inter is damaged, but it won't give up the title

Inter's path to the championship title has been accompanied by numerous physical problems for some of the key players.

Denzel Dumfries has missed 23 games since picking up an injury against Lazio in November 2025, the most suspended player. Hakan Calhanoglu has missed 13 games with a muscle problem, while Lautaro Martinez has been out for 11 games with a calf injury.

Coach Cristian Chivu has been forced to change his line-up frequently to compensate for absences, a situation complicated by the incomplete physical condition of Alessandro Bastoni.

Dumfries returned in March but is still not at his best. Lautaro Martinez is back in training and could be ready for the match against Parma.

Despite these shortcomings, Inter remains at the top of the standings and close to mathematically securing the title.
