The Court of Appeal in Barcelona has rejected the request of the lawyers of the Brazilian defender, Dani Alves, to leave the prison where he has been since his arrest after the accusations of rape brought by a 23-year-old woman.

The player was arrested a month ago and jailed without bail after the victim's lawyers claimed there was a strong possibility he would flee to Brazil, a country that does not accept extradition. As in the previous session where it was decided that Alvesh should stay in the cell, the lawyers have presented the list of companies that the footballer owns in Brazil and which guarantee him millions of euros in income, which could make it easy for him to escape from Spain if left the cell.

Therefore, the court has decided to uphold the decision, keeping Dani Alvesh in "Brians 2" prison in Catalonia, where he will remain until the date of his trial is set, to then answer to the justice for the event that It happened on the night of December 30.
