Strike of the future, PSG finds striker in Portugal

PSG is very close to the first signing in the market. It is about Manuel Ugarten, the Uruguayan midfielder of Sporting Lisbon. Portuguese media reports that the "Parisians" have agreed to pay the clause of 52 million pounds, while Ugarte will sign a five-year contract with Paris Saint Germain.

Ugarte has impressed with his performances during the second season with Sporting Lisbon. The midfielder counts 47 matches in all competitions.

Chelsea was also in the race for the Uruguayan, but apparently, Paris Saint Germain has won the race and now only the formalization of the transfer is expected from the club.

Ugarte joined Sporting Lisbon for a reported £5million in the summer of 2021 from fellow Portuguese side Famalicao. Since then, the midfielder has played 85 games with Sporting Lisbon, while he has also made eight appearances with the Uruguayan national team.
